The Rindge School of Technical Arts, or RSTA (say “Rista”), is the Career & Technical Education (CTE) department of the Cambridge Rindge & Latin School. CRLS students may enroll in any RSTA course or program (a sequence of multiple courses) listed in the CRLS Course Catalog (“The CRLS Experience”). RSTA offers eleven different CTE programs of study that are Mass. DESE Chapter 74-approved, plus two different Chapter 74-approved Exploratory courses for 9th graders, and several non-Chapter 74 courses.

Important Notice and Dates regarding CTE programs for Nonresident students: The Chapter 74 Nonresident Student Tuition Program provides students the opportunity to attend a school outside of their district of residence to study a Mass. DESE (Chapter 74) career & technical education (CTE) program that is not offered by their district of residence.
Students who seek admission to a specific CTE program that is offered by a school outside of their district of residence must follow the admission process of the school to which they seek admission, including using the school-provided application for admission. The application for admission must be submitted to the receiving school no later than March 15 of the preceding school year.
In addition, a nonresident student must submit a Chapter 74 Vocational Technical Education Program Nonresident Student Tuition Application to the Superintendent of the student’s district of residence by April 1 of the preceding year.
