Melissa
Grajeda, a senior at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, have been
awarded a full scholarship to Lesley University through its partnership
with Cambridge Public Schools. The competitive, merit-based scholarships
to either Lesley University or The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley
was initiated in 2007 for students meeting rigorous academic criteria,
with preference given to students demonstrating a strong design
portfolio, commitment to community, and public service.
The Lesley University Cambridge Rindge & Latin Merit based-full
year scholarships are for full tuition and fees, along with a book
stipend, for four years of study, and are awarded annually through a
selection process from a pool of candidates.
Up to two, full, four-year tuition scholarships are awarded to
graduates of the Massachusetts Cambridge Rindge and Latin School.
Recipients may enroll in either the College of Liberal Arts &
Professional Studies or the Art Institute of Boston (AIB) at Lesley
University.
The Principal and guidance team will nominate six students for
consideration. Nominations should be in the form of a letter of
recommendation. Minimum academic criteria include a 3.3 academic GPA in a
strong college prep curriculum, with a combined SAT CR + Math score +
SAT WR of at least 1800, or an ACT Composite score of at least 27.
