Upcoming Event Celebrating RSTA Culinary Students

On Tuesday October 3 at 12Noon, Sara Kennedy, the Director of Government and Community Relations for of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, will be at the Falcons' Nest Restaurant on the second floor of CRLS to congratulate Chef Rick McKinney and those Rindge School of Technical Arts Culinary students who participated in the Char/Bar Competition held in Kendall Square last August. The students, under Chef Rick's guidance, produced their version of grilled hamburgers which was voted "Best Classic Burger" from among about a dozen restaurants from Cambridge who competed.

Char BarThe Executive Director of the RSTA programs at CRLS, Dr. Mike Ananis, said "The Chamber's thoughtful inclusion of our kids in this event, and the magnificent recognition they have bestowed upon us, is a striking reminder of how well this City connects with its youth. We are both thankful and proud!"

Ms. Kennedy will present a check to RSTA that came from the proceeds of the event. The $1500 check will be used by RSTA to purchase personalized chef coats for those Level 3 Culinary Arts seniors who are expected to graduate from CRLS in 2018.
