Compass Program T-Shirt Design Contest
Students in the Creative Design class recently competed in the Compass Program Celebrates Cambridge T-shirt design contest sponsored by the Lesley University and Cambridge Public Schools spearheaded by Stacey DeSimone and Joey Huber. The T-shirt contest guidelines included the T-shirt design geared towards the target audience of pre K - 5 graders. The goal of the T-shirt design is to design a t-shirt with a Cantabrigian vibe with clean and simple graphics that would inspire students to be part of the Compass Program Summer Olympics. For over 30 years, Lesley University and Cambridge Public Schools have collaboratively offered a summer program that includes a child-centered academic seven-week summer program for enrichment for Cambridge kids grades pre K - 5 grades. The program offers literacy, math, science, technology, recreation, field trips, swimming and special programs. The judging was based on originality and adherence to contest guidelines which included designing a simple graphic that is fresh, hip and stylish. The winning T-shirt will be given to all the kids and adult teachers in the summer program.
