Intro to Careers in Construction

Location: CRLS CCRC
Are you interested in learning more about a career in the construction industry? Join us for an information session to learn about the wide variety of careers in the construction industry. Open to all 11th and 12th grade CRLS students. Pre-registration is required. Sign up in the CCRC or on Naviance.

Career Exploration Expo

Presented by: Harvard Ed Portal and RSTA Career Advising
Location: 224 Western Ave., Boston
The CEE provides an opportunity for 11th and 12th grade, CRLS students and educators to meet with representatives from a variety of post-secondary and student support organizations. Students will have the chance to explore various industries and interests while educators will have the opportunity to build their network of out-of-school time and post-secondary programs. Students will also engage in a variety of activities designed to support in-school work around MyCAP and Naviance, as well as self-reflection and identity-building. Pre-registration is required. Students must be referred by their Guidance Counselor or enrolled in a RSTA Program to attend. Email Ms. Reese or ask your Guidance Counselor for more information.

Renewable Energy Career Day

Location: Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology
Are you interested in Learning about pathways to a great career in the Renewable Energy industry? Renewable Energy is a great career choice, with sky-high hiring demand and salaries 30% higher than the US median wage. But what does a solar or offshore wind energy technology career actually look like? At this interactive event for current 11th and 12th grade CRLS students, attendees will build a small-scale, operational energy-harvesting device, learn about the Renewable Energy Engineering Technology associate degree program and special scholarship opportunities for this major.

“Real Talk” panel is back. Join us for another interactive panel of successful Entrepreneurs, that all graduated from CRLS. Have you every considered starting business? Are you interested in owning your own company? Hear from a variety of entrepreneurs in our community about what it really takes to launch your own business after high school.
