Important Notice and Dates regarding CTE programs for Nonresident students: The Mass DESE Chapter 74 Nonresident Student Tuition Program provides students the opportunity to attend a school outside of their district of residence for the purpose of enrolling a Mass. DESE (Chapter 74) career & technical education (CTE) program that is not offered by their district of residence.

Students who seek admission to a specific CTE program that is offered by a school outside of their district of residence must follow the admission process of the school to which they seek admission, including using the school-provided application for admission. The application for admission must be submitted to the receiving school no later than March 15 of the preceeding school year.

In addition, a nonresident student must submit a Chapter 74 Vocational Technical Education Program Nonresident Student Tuition Application to the Superintendent of the student’s district of residence by April 1 of the preceding school year.

Cambridge residents who wish to enroll in a Chapter 74 approved CTE program not offered at CRLS/RSTA can do so through Cambridge's participation in the Shore Collaborative SOLVED program, which offers access to several Chapter 74 programs at nearby schools. Cambridge residents seeking enrollment in a Chapter 74 program not offered by CRLS/RSTA should contact the Executive Director of RSTA before March 15 to learn which programs are available for the next school year.
