During the 2014 - 2015 school year, the IT, Carpentry, and Creative Design programs collaborated on an Arcade Game Coffee Table project. Each program contributed much talent and skill to create a wonderful coffee table arcade game. This project applied skills taught in each technical program in collaborative process over the course of many months. Ms. Max, Ms. Atwood and Mr. Carey would like to thank all the wonderful students involved with the project.
Carpentry with Mr. Doug Carey
- Built the coffee table
- Cut holes for the monitor, joystick, and buttons
- Secured the monitor, joystick, and buttons
- Cut a plexi glass cover to protect the monitor
- Created a shelf to hide the keyboard and mouse under the table
- Painted the table
IT/Computer Programming: Abdoulaye Barry with Ms. Liz Atwood
- Ordered the parts
- Installed command line Linux
- Installed GUI Linux
- Installed game
- Configured Raspberry Pi to work with joy stick and buttons
Creative Design: Noah Zibello with Ms. Max
- Created several mock-up versions of game table
- Designed the table top based on requirements
- Cut vinyl all vinyl including pixilated versions of falcon and RSTA logos
- Applied vinyl to table
